Smart IPTV Player is a media player only. It does not include, sell or provide access to any content, channels, movies or series. You must provide your own playlists and credentials from sources you are legally entitled to use.
Please read this disclaimer before using Smart IPTV Player for Android (the "App"), published on Google Play under the developer name Assraab Labs, a brand of Kotlinlabs (Kotlin Labs, "we", "us"). By installing or using the App, you confirm that you have read and understood it. This disclaimer forms part of the Smart IPTV Player terms of use.
What the App is
Smart IPTV Player is a video player. It plays playlists from sources you add: an M3U/M3U8 playlist (by URL, local file or USB) or an Xtream Codes API connection. It organizes what your provider supplies with a program guide, search, favorites and downloads.
Movie and series details (posters, ratings and descriptions) are fetched from The Movie Database (TMDB). This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
What we do not provide
Assraab Labs, Kotlin Labs and the App:
- do not sell, provide or recommend IPTV subscriptions or any other media service;
- do not host, store, index or archive any channels, streams, movies or series;
- do not own, operate or control any streaming servers;
- do not upload, modify, broadcast or distribute any media;
- do not provide or publish links to IPTV services or content;
- do not have access to, or control over, the services you connect;
- have no affiliation with any media content supplier or provider.
What we do provide
- A media player for content from sources you are entitled to use.
- Tools to manage M3U/M3U8 playlists and Xtream Codes API connections.
- Features that make viewing easier, such as the program guide, search and favorites.
- Support for the App itself, by email to contact@kotlinlabs.com. We cannot help with your provider's service, account or content.
Your responsibilities
You are solely responsible for:
- Obtaining your own service. Any playlist or subscription must come separately from a provider that has the right to distribute its content.
- Having the right to what you play. Make sure you are legally entitled to access every stream and file you open in the App.
- Complying with the law. Follow copyright law and all other laws that apply where you live.
- Following your provider's terms. Your relationship with your provider is between you and that provider.
- Checking your provider. Satisfy yourself that your provider is properly licensed for the content it offers before you subscribe.
Prohibited use
You must not use the App to:
- access, record, download or share content without the authorization of the rights holder;
- rebroadcast or publicly perform content;
- infringe the intellectual property or other rights of anyone else;
- break any law or regulation, including export controls and sanctions.
The terms of use list the full rules for using the App.
Third-party content and services
All channels, streams, movies, series and other content you access through the App come from third parties who are independent of us. We do not control, monitor, verify or endorse that content, and we are not responsible for:
- its legality, accuracy, quality or availability;
- offensive, inappropriate or unlawful material it may contain;
- any copyright infringement by the provider that distributes it;
- the acts or omissions of providers, or disputes between you and a provider.
Questions or complaints about content should go to the provider that supplies it.
No endorsement
Support for a format or protocol, such as M3U or Xtream Codes, is not an endorsement, recommendation or guarantee of any provider that uses it. We do not verify, approve or certify any provider.
Geographic restrictions
Content offered by providers may be subject to geographic and licensing restrictions. We have no control over them. You are responsible for making sure that your use of any service is lawful where you are.
Copyright
We respect intellectual property rights. Because the App does not host or distribute content, we cannot remove content from a third-party service. Rights holders should contact the provider that hosts or distributes the material. To report something that we publish, such as the App, its store listing or this website, see our Copyright & DMCA policy.
No warranties
To the extent permitted by law, the App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the App will work with every provider, playlist, stream or device, or that it will operate without interruption or errors. The terms of use set out the full disclaimer of warranties.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for content you access through third-party services, for losses caused by those services, or for unlawful or unauthorized use of the App. The full limitation of liability, and your obligation to indemnify us for claims arising from your breach of the terms, are set out in the terms of use. Nothing in this disclaimer limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
Parental responsibility
Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising children's use of the App and of any content accessed through it, including by choosing providers and playlists that are suitable for children.
Changes to this disclaimer
We may update this disclaimer when the App or the law changes. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the current version. For material changes we will give notice in the App or on its Google Play listing before they take effect.
Related documents
This disclaimer should be read together with the terms of use, the privacy policy and our Copyright & DMCA policy. If this disclaimer and the terms of use conflict, the terms of use apply.
