Kotlin Labs respects intellectual property rights and expects everyone who uses our apps to do the same.
Our apps do not host or provide content. Smart IPTV Player and our other media apps are players only. We do not host, store, upload, index, transmit or distribute any channels, streams, movies or series, and we cannot remove content from a third-party service. Complaints about content should go to the provider that hosts or distributes it.
What this policy covers
This policy covers material that we publish or control:
- our apps as distributed on Google Play — their code, text, images, icons and store listings;
- this website, kotlinlabs.com, including the press kit.
It does not cover content that users stream from third-party services through our apps. We have no access to or control over that content.
Content accessed through our apps
If you believe content available through a third-party service infringes your rights, please:
- contact the provider that hosts or distributes the content, and its hosting company;
- pursue remedies against the party responsible for the infringement.
We cannot identify which services a user connects to, because provider details stay on the user's device.
Reporting infringement by our apps or website
If you believe our app, store listing or website infringes your copyright, send a written notice to legal@kotlinlabs.com with the subject line "DMCA Copyright Notice", including:
- identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed;
- identification of the material you claim is infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it (for example, a URL or a description of the app screen);
- your name, postal address, telephone number and email address;
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;
- a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf;
- your physical or electronic signature.
Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), anyone who knowingly misrepresents that material is infringing may be liable for damages. If you are unsure whether material infringes your rights, consider seeking legal advice first.
Infringement in a Google Play listing can also be reported directly to Google through its legal help center.
What happens next
When we receive a complete, valid notice, we will review it, remove or disable the material if appropriate, and reply within a reasonable time. We may share your notice with the person who provided the material.
Counter-notification
If material you provided to us was removed because of a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notification to legal@kotlinlabs.com including:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- identification of the material that was removed and where it appeared before removal;
- a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification;
- your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if outside the United States, any judicial district in which we may be found) and will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice.
Other countries
We also handle notices under the laws of other countries, including the UK Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 and EU copyright law, using the same contact. Please include the same information listed above.
